It is never too late to be who you might have been.

I feel like I am writing my first blog post all over again. I haven’t been here to post in a year and a half. The best laid plans for a life of adventure turn into a jumbled chaos when you close on a 100 year old fixer upper house and have a newborn baby within a week of each other. Last summer we were buried in remodeling projects. I was a doting new mother. And to be honest, I lost most of last year to chronic migraines.
Now that we have gotten past most of the “keep the house standing” remodeling projects and are moving into the “let’s pretty this thing up” projects, we have a bit more time to get out on the trails. The newborn baby is now an 18 month independent, I-do-it-myself, tornado on two legs toddler. Thanks to an incredible dentist who helped me get past my fears of getting my wisdom teeth taken out, I am down to one (or fewer) migraines per month. I have actually been able to pinpoint the triggers for those migraines (dehydration or a poor night’s sleep). Going into summer 2010, I feel like I have been given my life back.
Over the next few weeks, I plan on doing some re-organizing and re-designing of this blog. I am also going to be introducing a few new topics. This is a blog about my life of adventure.
